George Michos CEO

George Michos is the CEO and has been an officer and Director since 1998. George Michos has been with Cottage Inn in Ann Arbor, Michigan since 1995. As CEO, he is responsible for all aspects of the operations of our Cottage Inn Commissary. Our Commissary provides food and paper products to our corporate owned stores, our franchisees, and the original Cottage Inn Restaurant owned and operated by Cottage Inn, Inc. From 1993 through 1995, George was a sales representative for SOFO Foods, Inc. From 1990 through 1993, George was a student at Hope College and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in business in 1993.

Theo Michos CFO

Theo Michos is our CFO, and has been an officer, Director in Ann Arbor, Michigan since September 1998. Theo Michos is responsible for our financial operations and oversees all real estate owned and leased by Cottage Inn. From 1990 to the present, Theo has been self-employed in the construction business in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area. Theo obtained a Builder’s License from the State of Michigan in 1991, and has brought over sixteen (16) years of business management experience to our operations.

Shafyi Broumand Sr. Consultant New Store Development

Mr. Broumand initially began working for Cottage Inn in 1981. He joined the executive team in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1996. Shafyi was previously responsible for the administration of the Ad Fund and for developing, designing and producing promotional materials to be used in marketing for Cottage Inn Pizza. Mr. Broumand is also our original franchisee beginning in 1986. In 2015 Shafyi began leading the new store development process to assist franchisees with the opening of their new locations. Shafyi assists with build-outs, lease negotiations, equipment purchases and many other aspects of store set-up.

Deborah Masse VP of Operations

Deborah began her employment with Cottage Inn in November of 2012. She oversees the business operations of the corporate office including human resources. Her prior work experience includes fifteen years in Executive Management. Her main role is to expand the franchise community with the assistance of the Management team. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Madonna University, graduating with honors in 1992.  Deborah has led Cottage Inn to double digit sales growth by way of rolling out a new branding initiative and through the introduction of Digital and Social Marketing.

Tom Carras Senior Director Store Operations

Mr. Carras joined the Cottage Inn family in 2006 bringing with him over 18 years of experience in the pizza delivery industry. He began his career in 1987 as a Store Manager for Dominos’ Pizza, Inc. and was later promoted to Corporate Area Supervisor and Senior Area Supervisor. In 1996, he began working corporately for Papa John’s Pizza and then became an operating partner with a multi-store Papa John’s franchisee three years later. In 2003, Tom joined the team at CiCi’s Pizza as an Area Supervisor. Mr. Carras works with the rest of the team in all facets of franchising including store development, employee training and day-to-day operations.
