Training & Support


The initial franchise training program for franchisees begins with a one-day orientation at the Cottage Inn corporate office, followed by full-time, hands-on training at our corporate training store. Training is conducted five days per week for four consecutive weeks, totaling 200 hours. Accompanying the hands-on franchise training is an online training program covering all the essentials: product safety and prep, safe delivery, up-selling and all the necessary tools to make you successful.

We also equip you with a printed Daily Operations Training Manual, Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) manual (complete with prep/cut charts) and a Manager in Training manual. A longer franchise training period can be selected at your option for no additional cost. We require that all franchisees pass our inspection/quizzes and clearly understand our SOPs before they can open.

Store Preparation and Opening

The Cottage Inn staff will guide you through our processes from start to finish. A complete New Store Development Manual with all the necessary resources is supplied to all franchisees. Cottage Inn management will assist franchise owners with site selection and ordering equipment (including point of sale system, signage, etc).

You will meet and work closely with our marketing department to execute your social media, digital and print marketing plans. We will also help you schedule and train employees. We will be on-site during your Grand Opening for support and to help ensure your franchise opens smoothly.

Franchise Consulting

The Cottage Inn staff will remain available to help resolve any operational concerns, which may develop during the day-to-day operation of your location. We recognize  the amount of additional support each franchisee requires is different. Cottage Inn, unlike other franchisors, does NOT charge additional fees.
