Michigan Business Owner Gets Slice of Cottage Inn Pizza Franchise
Quality of ingredients and low startup costs among factors that hooked Jerald Ignash
Jerald Ignash loves his slice of Cottage Inn. The Cottage Inn Pizza franchisee services the Pigeon, Elkton, Caseville, Sand Point, Bayport and surrounding areas.
He launched a Cottage Inn Pizza franchise in April 2017 and has been ramping up ever since. Ignash is no stranger to the restaurant business — or franchising. Over the past 20 years he has owned convenience stores and gas stations in Michigan and even started hauling his own fuel. That lead to his setting up a successful trucking business, which hauls fuel all around the state. More recently Ignash launched two Subway outlets and made the decision to take a slice of the pizza business.
The Michigan-based Cottage Inn Pizza curried favor with Ignash as a local franchise that would sit well with his values, but that alone was not enough. The quality of the products, Ignash notes, is exceptional. Cottage Inn Pizza has always used fresh, premium-quality ingredients in its varied menu with fresh, never-frozen cheese. Ignash says that the startup costs for the pizza franchise are also affordable for a small business owner like himself. All these factors together cinched the deal and he moved forward with opening his Cottage Inn Pizza location in Pigeon, Michigan.
Ignash, who holds a seat on the City Council in the city of Caseville, Michigan, enjoys the great outdoors with his family, which includes two boys 9 and 11. They love boating, skiing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling and travel as much as possible, he says, and owning his own Cottage Inn gives him the financial security and felxibility to remain involved in his local community and pursue these hobbies with his family.
